B.Sc. Accounting

This programme will provide the students with quality education and training that will develop their minds, imparting both theoretical and practical knowledge on the students, develop their self-confidence and also help them become innovative and self-reliant in the field of Accounting. The overall goal of the programme is to churn out graduates who can provide accounting services efficiently and effectively to industry to promote economic growth.

·         To equip students with fundamental accounting skills and principles necessary for the preparation of books of accounts and financial statements

·         Students are expected by the end of the course to be able to prepare various books of accounts, final accounts, and other accounting records/statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards

·         To provide students with the knowledge, understanding and skills relevant to the main subjects they are studying, together with a capacity for critical and evaluative thinking.

  • To develop students who are well equipped with critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • To equip students with a range of accounting and computational skills for evaluating and assessing the practices and theories of accounting
  • To equip students with the skills to evaluate the financial position of an organization through the examination of financial statements and nonfinancial data
  • To train students with good computer skills.
