Two routes to achieving your UK Bachelor’s Degree
Route 1: Progress to a university in the UK to study for a 1 year Top-Up Degree.
Students who successfully complete the CTH Level 5 Advanced Diploma (and especially those that have also first completed the CTH Level 4 Diploma) have a wide choice of universities to choose from in the UK to complete a FINAL YEAR Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality or tourism management.
Route 2: Progress to further study without leaving your home country.
Students who successfully complete the CTH Level 5 Advanced Diploma can choose to continue their studies in their home country by stepping up to study the next level CTH programme. The Level 6 Professional Diploma in Tourism & Hospitality Management offers 120 study credits (equivalent to a UK university bachelor’s degree Final Year) and provides valuable skills for your future career.

CTH Programs
CTH – L3 – FOUNDATION DIPLOMA IN HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM
This programme is aimed at those wishing to gain access to the first year of selected university Degrees, or to CTH Level 4 Diploma programmes. It is also a free-standing qualification for those seeking to enter employment at team member level.
CTH – L4 – DIPLOMA IN HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT
CTH Level 4 Diploma program provides an understanding of fundamental operational aspects and a knowledge of the key management principles involved. Diploma level courses combine practical career-based elements with a number of essential underpinning management disciplines that will be invaluable as the student’s career progresses.

CTH Entry Requirements
Minimum Entry requirements
- (FOR LEVEL 3) - This is an open access qualification however students should typically be at least 16, have completed secondary education and have English IELTS 5.0 equivalent. Students should also have basic study skills. International students may choose to combine this programme with CTH’s English for Hospitality & Tourism programme.
- (FOR LEVEL 4) - Students must be at least 17, have completed secondary education (UK Level 3 equivalent) and have English IELTS 5.5 equivalent. Students should also have demonstrable study skills.
UK Bachelor’s Degree for CTH international students
The University of Derby Online offers our international Tourism & Hospitality students the following opportunity:
Bachelor’s Degree in International Hospitality Business Management from the University of Derby, UK. The required 3-unit ‘top-up’ can be completed ONLINE after suitable learners have completed CTH Level 5 and 6 in Tourism & Hospitality at their local teaching centre.
