Dr. Alhassan Adamu

Dr. Alhassan Adamu was born in Kofa Bebeji Local Government Area of Kano State on 11th April 1984. He graduated from the Department of Computer Science, Kano University of Science and Technology (KUST), Wudil in 2007. He obtained an M.Sc. in Computer Science, with specialization in Software Engineering from University Putra Malaysia in 2013, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia with specialization in value-based Software Engineering. Dr. Alhassan was offered an appointment with KUST, Wudil in 2010 as a Computer Programmer, and later moved to the department of Computer Science as an Assistant Lecturer in 2013, a position he held till he rose to the rank of a Senior Lecturer. He was the Deputy Director of Management Information System (MIS), KUST, Wudil from 2013 to 2014, deputy director of the Center for Information and Communication Technology, KUST, Wudil from 2017 to 2018, Director of MIS, KUST, Wudil since 2019. Dr. Alhassan was a member of the selection board in the 2018/2019 PTDF Local Scholarship Scheme (LSS) Postgraduate Interviews, and the JAMB Chief Technical Adviser for Jigawa state (2022). He has several publications in peer review journals and conferences.

Dr. Alhassan Adamu has been lecturing at the University for over 12 years.  He is currently on a sabbatical leave from KUST, Wudil to Skyline University Nigeria.

Dr. Alhassan’s research interests include Software Productivity, Software Reuse, Software Engineering, Optimization, Heuristics Algorithms, Artificial Intelligence, Search Based Software Engineering, and Component Based Software Development.
