FACULTY OF MEDICINE. DEPARTMENT OF DERMATOLOGY. Acne vulgaris is so common that it ±s regarded a physiological phenomenon of adolescents* i-Joxi of the pre¬vious investigators who tackled tne role of heriditary on the development of acne used the recent inathematic inter¬pretations to prove arid study the genetic aspect of acne vulgaris arid that is the major target of our study; 203 patients of different varieties of acne and haphazardly chosen are subjected to the following : 1. Clinical examination. 2. Pedigree analysis. 3* Segregation analysis. 4« Consanguinity analysis. 5, ABO and Rh blood group. Our data indicates a positive family history in It/4 families out of the 203 families studied, i.e. 713.8$’£; the affected females are 128 while affected males are 75; that means that females to males equal to 1.7 : 1. Pedigree-analysis demonstrates that there is a genetic tendency in acne vulgaris.
