It is a Convenient and fast method of increasing the number of coordinated stations which can be permanently marked in the field. Formerly traverses were not regarded as sufficiently accurate for geodetic work, but the introduction of electromagnetic distance measure- ments (EDM) has resulted in traverses being largely accepted now for new geodetic frameworks./a)Traverse surveying is one of the principal branches of surveying techniques.
