Mr. Bashiru Usman
Bashiru Usman is working as a Lecturer in Skyline University Nigeria in the Department of Mass Communications. He has obtained a Masters’ Degree in Communication and Media Studies, Cyprus International University, Cyprus, and a Bachelor Degree in Mass Communication from the University of Maiduguri. He has a Certificate of Intensive Computer Training and a Diploma in Data and Information Technology.
Bashiru Usman is a seasoned teacher/lecturer who nurtured his career for over 14 years across various levels of education. At the earliest stage of his career, he taught English Language in Alkhair International Academy (Primary section), Ayetoro, Ogun state as a Youth Corp. Furthermore, in the post youth service years, he worked as English Teacher with Ibn Masoud Academy and Government Senior Secondary School, Mayo-Belwa; and subsequently as a lecturer with Mass Communication Department of Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola. He is currently, a lecturer with Skyline University Nigeria (SUN). Moreover, he also served as Head of Department (H.O.D), Departmental Exam officer, Project Coordinator and Students’ Affairs Coordinator in the Department of Mass Communication, Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola.
His areas of research interest include New Media and Conflict, Culture, Environment and Gender; Modern Broadcasting; and Advertising.
