The founder of Fullmark Agro Services Ltd, the biggest rice mill in Kano State, Mr Sriram Venkateswaram, has described Skyline University Nigeria (SUN) as “A new SUN risen over Kano State that is not going to set”.
Mr Venkateswaram, who gave his remark recently at the first matriculation ceremony of the university, enjoined the matriculating students to be certain that they have been admitted into a university that is skills based. “When a candidate comes in for an interview after university graduation, we assessed them on everything, from posture to their industry knowledge and skills needed for the job. The Emir of Kano, Mohammadu Sanusi II, in his message delivered by Ambassador Ahmad Umar, Dan Maliki Kano, has urged the newly admitted students to take advantage of the state of the Arts facility and quality human resources to build profound future careers.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sudhakar Kota pleaded with the new intakes to abide by the university’s rules and operational guidelines. He said the university was found on good moral standard, honesty and socially responsible students, who will remain positive change agents globally.
