Skyline University Nigeria (SUN) has recently hosted the final year students of Khadija Memorial College on changing gear seminar. The session aimed at empowering students with critical skills for financial resilience, mental health well-being, and sustainable personal growth. It was also done to help the students in making good decisions for their future careers.
Delivering his lecture titled “Financial Well-being and Mental Health: Building Resilience and Security for the Future”, Mr. Miracle Livinus, a lecturer in the School of Science and Information Technology (SSIT) at SUN said, session emphasized the link between financial security and mental health. Mr. Livinus guided students through practical strategies for managing personal finances, fostering financial literacy, and making informed decisions that contribute to long-term stability and peace of mind.
Dr. Malachy Usoro a lecturer in the department of management also delivered a lecture on “Growing the Right Future”. His session focused on fostering the right attitudes and habits necessary for sustainable growth and a successful future. Dr. Usoro inspired students to cultivate a mindset of continuous improvement, resilience, and adaptability, stressing that the path to growth is nurtured by setting clear goals, taking personal responsibility, and staying adaptable in a rapidly changing world.
In her remarks during the session, Ms. Sarada Maganti, the Director of Government and Public Relations (DOPR) at SUN encouraged the students to apply the knowledge they have gained during the workshop. She said not every final year students gets the opportunity to get access to career choice information.
The seminar provided an engaging platform for students to explore foundational life skills essential for future success.
