Changing Gear: Skyline University Nigeria receives Students from Zayyad Academy

Skyline University Nigeria (SUN) has recently received final-year students from Zayyad Academy for its changing gear seminar. The program is designed to coach students on how to make decisive higher education and career choices.

In his remarks, Mr. Lawi Isa, the assistant marketing manager at SUN, highlighted the variety of courses offered by the university. He painted a picture of some of the achievements that have been recorded by SUN students and alumni since the institution’s establishment.

Mr. Abdulganiyyu Abdulkareem, the coordinator of the Center for Continuous Learning (CCL) at SUN, delivered a session on the short courses offered by SUN. He admitted that the university offers professional certification courses supported by globally acknowledged organizations like IATA, ACCA and ICDL.

Delivering his lecture titled, ‘Developing a Positive Mindset in a Negative Environment’, Mr. Trimisiyyu Lawal, said the concept means “training our minds to see possibilities, solutions, and growth, even when faced with negativity.” He added that “staying positive in challenging situations often involves focusing on what can be controlled and finding opportunities for growth.”

Mr. Trimisiyyu then advised the students to be very optimistic and always set realistic goals. He said higher education is an interesting but tricky journey that needs proper planning.
