New Academic Year – What should SUN students look out for?

Whether they spent their holidays relaxing or expecting more from the institution of higher learning, preparations for the new session will overwhelm the student’s expectations. So it is important to approach the new session with a pre-planned strategy and a positive mindset. Here is what students should look out for:

  • 1. Beyond Classroom Experience

While learning is the primary goal of any student pursuing higher education, Skyline University Nigeria will do much more by providing a platform for students’ development throughout the new session and beyond. Field experiences early in a student’s career can be formative and can inspire students to continue to love a Programmeme. Field experiences are unmatched in a student’s learning potential as it provides structural time for students to reflect on the service experience in a professional environment through student’s trainee placement, the promotion of entrepreneurial skills among students and to showcase the creative writing skills through contribution to SUN publications that foster creativity.

  • 2. Ample opportunities for academic and career success

Through the Students Service department, the management of SUN is set to provide students with ample opportunities for both academic and career success. This means combining the power of professors with that of the Students Service Department to help them set high but achievable expectations and helping students set goals that support achievements. Both First Class students and Students who are experiencing academic, personal, financial or social problems will all be beneficiary of this Programmeme. It will also focus on personality development through various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

  • 3. A learning environment that is geared towards entrepreneurship

The teaching and learning fields will also be focused on entrepreneurship education. Considering that entrepreneurship has been introduced as one of the drivers of economic development, the development of entrepreneurship education Programmes will create a learning environment in which students can experience the key dimensions of entrepreneurship’s in an entrepreneurship learning environment like Skyline University Nigeria.

  • 4. Soft skills gained through career centres or workshops

Skyline University Nigeria understands that some of the most important professional skills for workers and employers alike simply can’t be taught in a classroom or measured on paper. These traits are called soft skills and they’re more crucial to job search and overall career. Unlike hard skills, which can be proven and measured, soft skills are intangible. Examples of soft skills to look out for in this session includes analytical thinking, verbal and written communication, leadership, networking, problem-solving, adaptability and teamwork.

  • 5. More Students Support Services

Similarly, we offer SUPPORT SERVICES to our students, such as State-of-the-art sports facilities for Cricket, Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Lawn Tennis, Badminton Indoor Game facilities like Billiards, Table Tennis, Chess, Carom etc.
