Skyline University Nigeria (SUN) has concluded its new students orientation for the new students of the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The week-long event ended on Friday, 8th, 2024, with a connect session with Skyline University Nigeria alumni. The session was specially prepared to expose the students to industry trends, mentorship, and networking options.
Abba Tor, Aisha Kabir, and Haruna Lawal Baffa had an interesting session with the students. Abba Tor, a former president of the Students Representative Council at SUN, highlighted his experience at Ja’iz Bank in Kano State. He said his learning at SUN has incredibly shaped his path upon graduation. He said the social skills, such as emotional intelligence and communication, have been supporting his journey in his new profession.
On her part, Aisha Kabir, a SUN alumni who is a staff member at Aspira Nigeria Limited, said she will forever be grateful for the experience and knowledge she received at the university. She encouraged the students to make the best use of every opportunity given to them by the university. She added that she was lucky to participate in programs like the TieU MENA competition and emerged as a second runner-up. With that, she was able to refine her goals and chase her dreams.
Haruna Lawal Baffa, who is a former president of the Students Representative Council at SUN for the second set of the university’s alumni, explained that the university is about finding purpose, developing character, and discovering how we can best serve others.
