The Vice-Chancellor of Skyline University Nigeria (SUN), Prof. Ajith Kumar V. V., has encouraged new staff that have joined the new institution to ensure they give their maximum contribution to the premiere university. He stated that “it is the people that make organizations grow and prosper” during the new staff orientation that was conducted on the campus of SUN today, September 17th, 2024.
Additionally, the Vice-Chancellor stated that the prestigious institution has received the most befitting engagement in Kano State and the country at large since its inception in 2018. He emphasized the need for the staff to excel in their performances as the institution provides the necessary environment to thrive.
He then encouraged them to build their brands and personas as they are in the right institution to grow. The Vice-Chancellor also explained that the faculty must ensure that students are well trained in their fields of study alongside morals and basic etiquette.
In his remarks to welcome the staff, the Registrar of SUN, Mr. Ahmed Muhammed Abdullahi, explained that SUN ensures a highly competitive quality education is given to students, which is why it uses global standard technology-based facilities in teaching and learning. He highlighted that the university stands firmly on its vision and mission, and that has aided it to always advance.
Principal officers who spoke during the occasion include the Head Librarian, Dr. Abdullahi Bala, dean of the School of Arts, Management and Social Sciences (SAMSS), Dr. Sudha Mavuri, dean of the School of Science and Information Technology (SSIT), Dr. A. Senthil Kumar, the Head of IT, Mr. Diwan Pereira and the Director of Public and Government Relations (DOPR), Ms. Sarada Maganti, among others.
The officers charged the staff to demonstrate good ethics and values within the institution. They were also asked to utilize the university facilities to support learning and research.
