Skyline University Nigeria conducts a week of PSDP sessions for all students

Skyline University Nigeria (SUN) has conducted a weeklong Professional Skills Development Program (PSDP) for all undergraduate students in the university. The PSDP sessions for Fall Semester 2024/2025 academic year for level 100 to 400 were conducted from November 25th to 29th 2024 at the university campus.

Students from the School of Legal Studies (SLS) were lectured on ‘Law as an instrument of social control’ and ‘mentorship in law profession’. They were taught on how to get access to mentors and how they can eventually select their career path to supporting communities.

For the students of the School of Basic Medical Sciences (SBMS), lecturers taught them important topics – ‘Effective Leadership Skills’, ‘Promoting Mental Health & Well Being’ and ‘Emotional Intelligence and Self Awareness’.  

The students of the School of Science and Information Technology (SSIT) were trained on ‘Effective Communication Skills’, ‘Teamwork and Collaboration’ and ‘Time Management’. While students from the School of Arts, Management and Social Sciences (SAMSS), were lectured on ‘Teamwork’, ‘Analytical and Logical Thinking’ and ‘Thinking for the Right Decision Making’.

The sessions were conducted to prepare the students to maximize the efforts in attaining high grades and overall academic success in their studies. In their various lectures, the tutors emphasized on creating a routine and having a goal for personal development.
