The security department of Skyline University Nigeria (SUN) has conducted training for the security staff of the university. The training was conducted to upgrade the knowledge of the staff on current security problems and how to tackle them within the institution.
In his opening remarks, the Chief Security Officer of SUN, Mr. Hassan Nanven, said the training was imperative for the staff to equip themselves with the right information and skills so that they can execute their tasks efficiently.
Delivering his remarks, Alh. Hafizu Ringim, the regional manager, International Security Organization (ISO), Switzerland, said the staff must understand that communication is very critical in any security business. “It is only by communicating effectively that you will be able to function correctly as security operatives,” he said.
He admitted that the execution of tasks will allow the public to give them the respect they deserve. Alh. Ringim also stated that the staff must be acquainted with the law, which is a prerequisite for security operations.
He then commended the management of the institution for having a functional security unit that will ensure the safety of students, staff and visitors. Alh. Ringim also applauded the staff for their contribution in the interactive session.
Mr. Nanven, CSO, emphasized in his closing remarks that the guest speaker was indeed the right man for the training. He said Nigeria has benefited immensely from his contribution to safety and security. He then appreciated him on behalf of SUN management for honoring the invitation despite his tight schedules.
