Skyline University Nigeria Launches First Edition of Newsline Magazine

History was made on Saturday, 30th October 2021, when Skyline University Nigeria launched the first edition of its Newsline magazine. The Newsline which was rolled out in a grand style fitted perfectly into the long-term vision of the University. The launch of the Newsline magazine could not have come at any appropriate time than now when the University has entered into its 4th year of Academic excellence.

With the launch of the Newsline magazine, Skyline University Nigeria is repositioned to share its evolving history and achievement globally. Amongst the expected outcomes of the launch of the Newsline magazine, is that the Newsline will become a platform for signposting the achievements of the university annually. Apart from this, the Newsline magazine covers several Programmemes and certifications, MoU signing, Entrepreneurship workshops, Branding of SUN, campus life, CEO Lecture series, amongst others.

The Newsline magazine also focuses on highlighting the positive aspects of the University’s services by sharing press mentions, industry visits, students and staff articles, Vision and mission statements, internships and placements, poems and the recent NUC’s approval on B.Sc Tourism and Hospitality Management, B.NSc Nursing Science and Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT).

Declaring the magazine open, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Ajith Kumar V.V stated that he was delighted to be a part of the first edition of the SUN magazine launch. He described the launch of the Newsline magazine as a laudable initiative especially as it relates to its emphasis on the journey of the university so far. “I want to once again assure the members of the University that SUN is very committed to this commendable initiative,” he added.

He acknowledged the support and dedication of the Newsline committee for the execution of the Newsline magazine that included the Editor in Chief, Mr. Adelokun Adetunji O, the Staff Editors, Dr. Olumide Ajayi, Mr. Andrew Agada, Mr. Ridwanullah Abdulhameed and Ms. Jyoti Rajwal, the Content Developer, Mr. Unique A. Christian, the Creative Designer, Mr. Daniel Adeyemi, the Photographer, Mr. Abdullahi Opoola and the Distribution Officer, Ms. Hadeeza Saeed Ado. He encouraged other staff to come up with ideas that will propel Skyline University Nigeria into a major global player.
