The management of Skyline University Nigeria (SUN) has received final-year students of the H&M Foundation for its changing gear workshop. The session was conducted on the 22nd January, 2024 to encourage the students to make befitting career choices.
The Dean of the School of Basic Medical Sciences (SBMS), Dr. Isa Usman Lawal, who oriented the students, explained that pursuing a career in the medical field is both rewarding and impactful. He said people who choose to study courses in the medical career are opportune to save lives, which is highly critical for development.
He said SUN offers medical-oriented courses such as medical laboratory science, nursing science and doctor of physiotherapy. Dr. Lawal added that there are so many people involved in the hospital and this paves the way for many careers to be applicable.
Some level 300 students from SBMS who shared their experiences with the students said that their courses have now exposed them to numerous opportunities. With the support of their tutors and the university, Fatima Lawal Shu’aibu and Aisha Suraj said that they are eager and well prepared to perform excellently anywhere in the world.
In her closing remarks, the Director Academic Support Services (DASS) at SUN, Ms. Sarada Maganti, thanked the students on behalf of SUN management for honoring their invitation. She said the doors of SUN are opening to welcome them after their graduation to further their desired careers.
