The SUN Director of Operations, Mr. Abubakar Ismail has affirmed that the Sports Academy will follow after the world class standard of Skyline University College (SUC) in UAE Dubai, and will be established, with a high performance facility that will be the envy of most regional sporting facilities.
Eng. Munir Gwarzo, Sports Consultant from Kano State University of Technology Wudil, speaking at the meeting in SUN’s office, agrees that the Sports Academy will assist students to balance their studies whilst meeting the high demands of sports and assist our aspiring sporting athletes to achieve success both on and off the field.
SUN Sports Academy will be set up to work closely with the SUC Standards and Experts, Sports Science staff, and National Sporting organizations to provide individualized strength and conditioning Programmemes specific to the aspiring athlete’s needs in both Basketball and Football. A major focus of the Academy will be to also provide academic supports, leadership building, personal branding and mental health education, with the intention of guiding aspiring athletes towards success.
