The Skyline University Nigeria (SUN) Toastmasters Club held a meeting on September 27th 2024 at the conference hall of the university. The meeting was graced by the presence of Division Director, DTM Muhammed Alhassan, Area Director, TM Zenab Adam, DTM Abdulraheem Oreagba, DTM Bazallahi and TM Laraba Suleh.
The meeting witnessed the presentation of two powerful speeches by a SUN toastmaster student, TM Sadiya Mukhtar and another toastmaster, TM Rabia Danjuma. In his remarks, DTM Alhassan said, “It has been long since he witnessed the presentation of powerful topics as that of the presenters. I am indeed moved by your growth, which radiates the entire hall.”
He then encouraged all the toastmasters present at the event to make the best use of the opportunity to learn and grow in the art of public speaking and leadership. He remarked that “no structured organization in the whole of Nigeria provides a platform for individuals to learn and grow in the art of leadership and public speaking. This is why I will continue to help youngsters build their dreams.”
Guests were also given the opportunity to make short presentations in the table topics segment. The guests explained that they were impressed by the conduct of the meeting and are optimistic for the continuation of such remarkable meetings for SUN toastmasters.
DTM Alhassan presented ribbons to the speakers, the toastmaster of the day and also left additional ribbons for future speakers. He also commended the management of SUN for supporting the students in their public speaking and leadership journey. In the past, he paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of SUN, Prof. Ajith Kumar V. V.
