The visit was meant to practically educate and engage students with access to tools and environment that are not available at the school while giving each and every student the real-world experience.
On getting to the manufacturing plant, the students visited the chemistry department which also serves as the quality control department. This is where all the products are tested, to confirm if the products are up to the quality of the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient required.
They were also taken to the Microbiology department where they grow fungi and other plants needed for the pharmaceutical products. And lastly, they were taken to the production line where they were shown different kinds of machine used to package the products.
