The Director General, Centre for Management Development, Mr. Bitrus Danharbi Chinoko, accompanied by Mr. Muhammad Nuhu – AG. Director of Administration and Human Resources, Mr. Kaikeh Z. Jok – Northwest Zonal Co-ordinator, Mr. Abubakar Uba – Principal Management Development Officer, Mr. Bawalle Ali – Senior Management Development Officer, Mr. Sabiu Abdullahi Salisu – Management Development and Mrs. Nafisa Nuuman Barau – Management Development Officer, all hosted by Skyline University Nigeria, made this known at the SUN – CMD collaboration meeting. He pointed out that SUN has more than the students alone can chew, “MCD is ready to collaborate”.
In his remark, the Director General CMD, applauded the management of Skyline University Nigeria for supporting the good cause of advancing Nigeria’s university education to international heights, especially through the scholarship supports and wished the management of SUN would extend the scholarship to not only students but to faculty members/professional staff, who may wish to further, especially in the department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Computer Science & Information Technology, Economics as well as Software engineering for capacity building.
The Centre for Management Development was established by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 1973. CMD is a parastatal of the Ministry of Budget and National Planning which has the responsibility of driving the vision, plans and Programmemes of the Federal Government. The Centre Operates from its Head Office in Abuja and Six geopolitical Zones in Nigeria. The Director General agrees that human capital should be developed to meet current world technologies standard, saying CMD would not rest on its effort to ensure that all its stake holders are technologically developed.
In his submission, the Director of Operation for Skyline University Nigeria, Mr. Abubakar Ismail, also affirms that culture is important and SUN is making collaborations with other universities, starting with students exchange, faculty exchange etc. “Plans are underway for post graduate Programmemes to kick off soon after pioneering students have graduated”, he added.
