Students of the economics department at Skyline University Nigeria (SUN) have paid a courtesy visit to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) today, 27th June 2024. Their visit was a sequel to the Economics Week 2024 held recently at the university by the department.
In his opening remarks and presentation, Mr. Abdulazeez Murtala, the ICSO, who represented the state coordinator, said their office is pleased to receive students of SUN on the courtesy visit. He commended the SUN for engaging the students in practical industry experiences that will benefit them after graduation.
Mr. Murtala, during the presentation, gave an extensive explanation of the vision and mission of CBN, the modules of CBN and the function of each department. He highlighted that all the departments work together collaboratively to champion the mission and vision of the CBN.
He then encouraged the students to keep learning in their field of endeavor alongside technological advancement to stay relevant.
In his remarks, Dr. Aminu, a faculty member at the Department of Economics at SUN who accompanied the students, said the visit would increase the students’ knowledge of how the CBN operates.
The students were also escorted by Mr. Umar Farouk, corporate affairs executive at the university.
