Skyline University Nigeria Library (SUNL) is a leading resource provider and a modern library with state-of-the-art facilities which includes Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Technology and KOHA Library Management Software. Our library has a conducive study environment with spacious desks and natural light. It houses an extensive collection of information resources that cut across the programmes offered in the University. The library provides access to quality resources and innovative services to stimulate creativity, intellectual curiosity and facilitate lifelong learning and research within its community. Our library is strategically located on the first floor of the Skyline University Nigeria building with enough computers connected with internet and a subscription of Online databases such as ProQuest, Ebrary, EBSCOhost, IGI Global, etc.
Equally, we provide a number of services to our patrons, ranging from Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), Internet/CD ROM Search Assistance, E-Resources Services, Research Support Information Services (RSIS), Referral Services, Loan Services to our registered members, Current Awareness Services (CAS), Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI), New Arrivals Information Services, Query-Based Services etc.
A dynamic professional librarian with more than 10 years’ cognate practical experience in Librarianship. Currently working as the Pioneer University Librarian of Skyline University Nigeria. He has the managerial capability to oversee and manage University Library and has the experience in handling various software like Virtua, Koha, CDS/WINISIS, Greenstone, & OutLook.
He is a Chartered Librarian of Nigeria (CLN) certified by Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN). Equally, he is an active review member of the Esteemed Journal of Emerging Technologies and Innovative Research; A reviewer in The Fourth International Conference on Digital Information Processing, Data Mining and Wireless Communication; A reviewer in The Seventh International Conference on Digital Information and Communication Technology and Applications; A reviewer in the The Fourth International Conference on Education Technologies and Computers and also a member in the Society of Digital Information and Wireless Communication (SDIWC)
He has consulted for a number of Universities, Colleges, and Schools in Nigeria for effective library development. He has received a number of training such as Innovative Services Delivery in Libraries and Information Centers sponsored by Goethe-Institut in collaboration with US Consulate and on eLibrary Sustainability Project sponsored by Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria
His research areas are the Integrated Library Management System, ICT in Libraries and User Services.
Journals & Publications
He has presented papers in International/Local Conferences, contributed and published papers in peer-reviewed Journals which includes Journal of Advances in Librarianship, African Journal of Education, Science and Technology, Ebonyi Journal of Library and Information Science, etc. His last paper on the Emerging Behaviour and Expectations of 21st Century Students on the Use of Academic Libraries was just published by the African Journal of Information and Knowledge Management. Currently, He is working on the effect of RFID in library settings.He is happily married with a child.
