INTRODUCTION
Skyline University Nigeria Library strives to provide a well equipped library comprising of physical and e-resources which are rich in content for easy access within the University and outside.
SUN Library provides access to quality resources and innovative services to stimulate creativity, intellectual curiosity and to facilitate lifelong learning and research within its community. The library is at the forefront of providing information services to its stakeholders which comprises of students, faculty, supporting staff and other members by which SUN has an agreement with, in order to support their teaching, learning and research needs.
Equally, SUN Library invests in updating learning resources requirement so as to enable students, faculty and others members pursuit their academic needs

The Library is open with all facilities and services for the users from 8:30am to 6:00pm on Mondays – Fridays and also from 10:00am – 3:00pm on Saturdays. Library remains closed on Sundays and any Public holidays

The SAMSS School Library contains an extensive collection of information resources that cut across the programmes offered in the school, as well as a wide range of resources for use in the classrooms. The resources are current and rich in nature.

The SSIT School Library houses sufficient physical and online resources. The School library contains information resources mainly on Sciences and Information Technology based programs of SUN.

- What are the Library Timings?
The Library is open with all facilities and services for the library users from 8.30 A.M to 06.00 P.M on Mondays to Fridays and also on Saturday from 10:00 am to 03:00 pm. Library remains closed on Sundays & Public holidays.
- How can I get membership card?
Individual users must be registered in the Integrated Library Management System Koha in order to borrow materials from the Library.
Koha registration is also needed for outside members if they have annual membership or alumni membership of the Library. For such members library membership comes at N 5000 annual charges with a security deposit of N 10,000 (refundable).
- Does the library have the e-resources?
The Library is equipped with 30 computer terminals with unlimited internet access. Students can access online databases that are subscribed by the library department for various programmes etc. The databases are Ebscohost, ProQuest and IGI Global and they give access to approximately 2.2 million e-resources
- What are the general rules of the Library?
- Student ID Cards should be shown at entrance & also on demand whenever there is a Check.
- No person shall be allowed to borrow any book(s) until they have been properly checked out
- Student ID cards/borrower cards are not transferable. Books are issued against borrower cards only on production of their own Student ID card.
- Silence should be maintained in the Library.
- Eating, drinking, spitting are prohibited in the library
- Cell phones should be switched off or kept in the silent mode within Library premises.
- It is very serious offence to remove or damage any part of a book, periodical or computer gadget.
- Library users must not attempt to put books back on the shelves. Once taken off the shelves, the books should be left on the tables.
- No brief case or handbag are allowed into the library
- On completion of course “No dues Certificate” will be issued only on submitting all the materials borrowed from the library.
- Overdue charges will be collected if book is not returned by due date.
- If book is lost, borrower is responsible to replace the book or pay latest market price. If title is out of print, price will be charged as per Library norms.
- Reading tables and chairs must not be moved from their positions
- Library users should not reserve seats in the library. Another person can use any seat not physically occupied.
- Library users are advised to take away their belongings and books whenever they are leaving the library
- Users are urged to avoid any distortion of the library’s clean environment (in and around the library premises)
- Playing games, downloading games, software, music /video files is strictly prohibited in the electronic library area.
- Library computers are meant for library search only and students are allowed to work on their assignments.
- The University Librarian may suspend any person from using the library for violation of these rules subject to his reporting such action to the Library Resources Development Committee (LRDC)
- How many days shall I barrow a book?
The normal lending period is 7 days only for reference. Issued documents and other items are renewable, provided there is no demand for the material by other members. Three renewals are allowed for any issued material.
- Is there late fines and penalty for damages/lost?
The Library charges fine of N50/= day per book as overdue from students.
The cases of penalty for any damage or loss of any item will be referred to Head-Librarian for information on the penalty.
- What is Inter Library Loan
SUN Library has signed an MOU with Yusuf Maitama Sule University Library, Kano, Federal University Dutse, Jigawa and Sule Lamido University Library, Kafin Hausa, Jigawa. The services of mentioned libraries can be availed by the Students, Faculty Members and Other Supporting staff for the purpose of reference, barrowing and also use of their e-resources. Users must provide Introduction letter form their respective Libraries and ID cards.
- What is Clearance certificate/No dues certificate?
All those who leave the organization must return, replace or pay for all outstanding print and non-print materials that they have not returned to the Library. SUN Library will issue the clearance certificate to any faculty member or student only after he/she returns the borrowed materials from the Library.
- What are the security measures are placed in the Library?
The library materials are secured with Radio Frequency Identification tags. The unacknowledged check out will be notified by the system. Moreover the library premised is fully monitored by the CCTV cameras.
The Library is very strict on any theft/ tear of library collection. Proper actions will be taken against those who violate any Library rules. The actions range from hefty fines to debarring from Library for a semester.
