Dr. Haliru Musa

Dr. Haliru Musa is currently working with Skyline University Nigeria as Lecturer II in the School of Science and Information Technology, Department of Biological Sciences. He acquired his PhD in Bioprocess Engineering from Universiti Malaysia Perlis, Malaysia and M.Sc. in Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. He as well completed his B.Sc. (Microbiology) from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Nigeria. He holds a certificate in Computer Application and he is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). He is the author of 9 papers and co-author of 3 papers in high impact international journals (Scopus Indexed). He has contributions in 3 international conference

Dr. Haliru has over 5 years of teaching and research experience in Nigeria and abroad; He began his teaching and research career as a Lecturer in Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Nigeria, from April 2010 to March 2021. He later worked as a Graduate Assistant during his PhD Programmeme (2014-2018) in the Centre for Biomass Utilization, School of Bioprocess Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Perlis, Malaysia. In the course of his professional experience, he has achieved the title of the most number of papers published in ISI indexed journal at the Universiti Malaysia Perlis 2018 PhD hooding ceremony, Putra Regency Hotel, Kangar, Malaysia. 25th October 2018 and most outstanding graduating (2006) student of Department of Microbiology, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Sokoto, Nigeria.

His research interest spans through but not limited to the field of Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology, Food Microbiology, Applied Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Microbiology, and Molecular Biology. Areas covered by his research interest include; Microbial Enzymes and Fermentation Technology, Biofuel Production using Greener Technology, and Enzymatic production of Oleochemicals.
