HEAD LIBRARIAN’S PROFILE

Dr. Abdullahi Bala Shehu is an esteemed academic and visionary leader in the field of Library and Information Science, laced with an impressive academic journey and a wealth of experience, education and expertise.

He holds a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from the prestigious University of Delhi, India, a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Nims University, India, a Master’s Degree in Business Information Systems from the University of East London, UK, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Technology from FUT Minna, Niger State, Nigeria.

With over ten years of experience leading and managing academic libraries, Dr. Shehu has exemplified excellence in his field. His various roles in academic libraries have demonstrated his commitment to empowering students, faculty and researchers by providing them with seamless access to valuable information resources.

As a senior lecturer at the University of Abuja, he made a significant impact on countless students, fostering a passion for knowledge and research. His academic contributions extend beyond the classroom. He has authored various research publications with an “H” index. He has also presented papers at various prestigious conferences worldwide.

Beyond his academic roles, the revered academic has contributed his expertise to the National Open University of Nigeria and engaged in consultancy services, making a positive impact in various institutions. He is currently the Head of Skyline University Library.
