The Emir of Kano State, during a courtesy call on the university’s Pro-Chancellor, Mr. Nitin Anand in his office as part of his official visit to the university on Wednesday 24th April 2019, said universities need to move away from the old ways of doing things and come up with innovative ideas for better productivity and sustainable output.
While giving a remark on the state of university education in the country, the Emir said, “We need to start bringing global ideas, staffs, faculties etc. so that we can produce global students”. I am the Chancellor of Skyline University but I would love to see this spread across universities in Nigeria, the Emir added.
Earlier in the opening remark, the university’s Pro-Chancellor, Mr Nitin Anand has appreciated the Chancellor saying, “SUN could not have had a better guide and Chancellor if not the Emir of Kano himself.” We want to appreciate your guidance – we are here to make a difference.
In the cause of the visit, the Emir inspected some facilities in the University, including the ICT Laboratory, the university library and the Computer Laboratory, among others.
