Team of supervisors from Skyline University Nigeria (SUN), comprising an Associate Professor in Finance and Management, Dr. Senthil Kumar, an Assistant Lecturer of the Department of Management, Ms. Aisha Turaki Ibrahim and the Corporate Affair Supervisor, Mr. Saka Shehu has paid a supervisory visit to students of the university, currently undergoing internship training. The supervisory visit which involved Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO), Northern Nigerian Flour Mill (NNFM) and Dangote Group was undertaken to see the progress of the students’ training in problem-solving, teamwork, communications, adaptability and interpersonal skills.
The visiting team were received by the Director Operations (NNFM) – Hajiya Ramatu Mansur, the Call Centre in charge of KEDCO, Hajiya Maryam Abdulrasheed and the Supervisor of Dangote Group, Mr. Abubakar Muhd Sani, who acquainted them with the students’ progress so far in their different SIWES assignments. While receiving the team, Hajiya Maryam stated that opportunities were available for students, to excel, in their internship placements.
While thanking the Site supervisors for introducing the students to the practical aspects of the various assignments, i.e, Administration, Information Technology, etc. Dr. Senthil Kumar stated that it is in the interest of the students that the visit was conducted. He advised the students to maximize their time during the SIWES Programmemes, to stay safe and follow all COVID-19 safety precautions, as their wellbeing is the university’s concern.
He appreciated the students’ punctuality at work and their zeal to learn new problem-solving skills.
