The Vice-Chancellor of Skyline University, Professor Ajith Kumar V.V has indicated an interest in evolving a working relationship with the Karaye Emirate Council, to promote academic cooperation and robust human and capital development between the University and the Emirate Council. This was made public on Monday, 4th October 2021, when the Vice-Chancellor, being accompanied by the Head of Corporate Affairs, Engr. Bashir Garba, paid a courtesy call to the Karaye Emirate Council.
During the courtesy call, Professor Ajith made known the purpose of the visit. He stated that it was to get familiar and in tune with the already existing partnership existing between the University and the Emirate Council. He also emphasized the need to make stronger, the partnership between both parties on driving excellence in tertiary education in the state and across the country.
Prof. Ajith stated that the University hopes that the existing relationship will leverage to achieve something truly unique. In his words, “I’m looking forward to a working synergy between the Emirate Council and Skyline University Nigeria, that will ensure the continuation of a robust relationship”. He pledged more open-door access and sun campus, cutting across teaching, and research.
In his response, the Emir of Karaye, Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar II, welcomed the members of Skyline University and congratulated the University for entering its fourth year of academic excellence. He promised to strengthen the cord of the existing partnership between the Karaye Emirate Council and Skyline University Nigeria. “We cherish your university being an international institution, and what we are doing is geared towards advancing the intellectual capacity of our people”, he added.
