Higher education is a fundamental vehicle for the economic and social development of any nation, and Nigeria is no exception. It is meant to help the country buildup capacity to develop and manage its resources, alleviate poverty, close the educational gap as well as economic and political gap it has with the developed world. Nigeria got its independence in October 1960; it therefore needs sufficiently educated workforce to enhance its development.

With increasing globalization, information and knowledge-based economy are key to creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship which can sustain social development and help increase national competitiveness. University education in Nigeria can provide the much needed man power to accelerate the socio-economic development. This therefore, creates an opportunity for Skyline University Nigeria to provide an atmosphere for academic freedom, culture and research which can supply platforms for liberal education, which in turn makes young people better prepared for an enhanced future. The university is conscious of the importance of Science and Technology in the development of the nation. Therefore, it introduces a series of science subjects, which can be useful in creating new bodies of knowledge for various industrial needs

1. To Provide Quality Education – Deliver high-standard education in science, mathematics, and information technology to produce competent graduates capable of addressing industrial, national, and global challenges.
2. To Promote Research and Innovation – Foster a culture of research and innovation by encouraging students and faculty to engage in scientific discoveries and technological advancements.
3. To Bridge Academia and Industry – Strengthen linkages with industries, government agencies, and research institutions to ensure students gain practical exposure through internships, projects, and hands-on experiences.
4. To Develop Ethical and Responsible Professionals – Instill ethical values, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in students to enable them to contribute positively to society and their respective professions.

1. Enhance Scientific and Technological Knowledge – Equip students with in-depth knowledge in their chosen fields of science, mathematics, and information technology to meet contemporary and future demands.
2. Encourage Practical Application of Knowledge – Integrate laboratory work, field studies, and technological applications into the curriculum to ensure students can apply theoretical concepts to real-world problems.
3. Foster Entrepreneurial and Innovative Thinking – Provide students with entrepreneurial skills and an innovative mindset to enable them to create solutions, establish startups, and contribute to economic growth.
4. Ensure Continuous Academic and Professional Development – Regularly update the curriculum, teaching methodologies, and evaluation processes to align with global standards and emerging trends in science and technology.

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Programmes (Full-Time)

The minimum duration is four (4) Academic Sessions for candidates who enter through the UTME mode. Direct Entry candidates admitted to the 200 level of their programmes will spend a minimum of three (3) Academic Sessions.  The maximum duration of time allowed to obtain an honours degree in the school shall be twelve semesters for the 4-year degree programme and ten (10) semesters for students admitted directly into the 200 level.

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Programmes (Part-Time)

The minimum duration is six (6) Academic Sessions for candidates who enter through the UTME mode. Direct Entry candidates admitted to the 200 level of their programmes will spend a minimum of five (5) Academic Sessions.  The maximum duration of time allowed to obtain an honours degree in the school shall be fourteen (14) semesters for the 6-year degree programme and twelve (12) semesters for students admitted directly into the 200 level.
