During the welcome ovation presided over by the university’s Pro-Chancellor, Mr Nitin Anand, the Registrar, Mr Satya Vir Singh, the Bursar, Mr Vivek Sharma and the Director of Operation, Mr Abubakar Ismail, the Vice-Chancellor had the opportunity to meet the faculty and other staff of the university. This was followed by a tour of the university facilities.
Prof. Sudhakar Kota has served the educational industry for almost 35 years. During his career progression, he has exposure to UK, America and Australian educational system. He is well known for establishing higher education quality assurance (QA), policies and procedures at the university level.
Dr. Kota was instrumental in successfully implementing the QA process in Skyline University College UAE, prepared the faculty members and administrative employees for the change by engaging them in continuous discussions and conducted regular training on various aspects of course delivery, learning support services and designing instruments of assessment as per the required rigor and measurability of learning outcomes. In addition, he is actively engaged in research work and has presented papers in international conferences, published research papers and successfully supervised PhD students.
Professor Kota has attained a wide spectrum of business expertise by earning M.Phil. in Economics, MBA with marketing specialization, Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations, Labour Laws and Doctorate in the field of industrial productivity so as to have a holistic understanding of business studies and guide the stakeholders in a comprehensive manner to solve business problems.
Further, he will work on the improvement of academic and social facilities of SUN students by paying close attention to students’ mentorship, orientation, beyond classroom extra-curricular activities and social life. The Vice-Chancellor lauded the University for being the first international private university in Kano and wishes the team a successful future.
