An Amazon best-selling author, poet, life coach and accomplished scientist has described life experiences as a series of interconnected events that define the purpose of one’s life. Dr. Meenakshi Anantram made this statement today, March 7th, 2024, during the CEO Guest Lecture Series held at Skyline University Nigeria (SUN) for the final-year students of the Schools of Arts, Management and Social Science (SAMSS) and Legal Studies (SLS).
In her opening remarks, Dr. Sudha Mavuri, the Dean of the School of Arts, Management and Social Science (SAMSS), said the moment is very enthusiastic for the university and its students. She said SUN students will benefit immensely from the experience of Dr. Anantram after the completion of their higher education.
With the moderation of the session by Mr. Farid Illo, a lecturer with the department of Political Science at SUN, Dr. Anantram gave answers to questions that reflected some of the major highlights of her career. She admitted that life is full of sad and happy moments, which augment every stage of growth in an individual’s life.
As a seasoned expert who navigated around professional careers and entrepreneurship, she explained that finding a perfect balance and pursuing her goals made it possible to achieve goals she had never imagined. She identified that the transition process to her entrepreneurship journey was quite challenging, especially as a woman in a man’s world. “Being a woman was the topmost challenge I had to face in a male-dominated world,” she said.
Addressing questions on writing, Dr. Anantram stated that confidence and attitude are key elements that would elevate one’s career in writing. She noted that it is essential for passionate writers to understand their readers so that they can write convincingly. She then advised the students to make the best use of their time at the university, remarking that SUN is one of the best institutions where they can acquire qualitative education.
Delivering the closing remarks, Prof. Bashiru Adeniyi Omipidan, the Dean of the School of Legal Studies (SLS), expressed the university’s gratitude to Dr. Anantram and appreciated the students for the successful conduct of the program. He also thanked the Vice-chancellor of SUN, Prof. Ajith Kumar V. V. and Dr. Mavuri for coordinating the program.
