The management of Skyline University Nigeria (SUN) has successfully conducted hands-on training on the SPSS research analysis tool for the faculty of the university. The training was essentially organized to motivate lecturers to embark on more academic studies with relative ease.
The Dean of the School of Basic Medical Sciences (SBMS) at SUN, Dr. Isa Usman Lawal, who was the resource person for the workshop, said the training is quite timely, coming at a time when the world is in need of new knowledge and solutions necessary for development. He admitted that the Statistical Package for Social Sciences, also known as SPSS, is important to enhancing the research processes and publications of the faculty.
Dr. Usman took the faculty through some processes of data analysis, advanced analytics, and data management among others. He explained that the use of SPSS reduces inconsistencies in data analysis and is therefore highly recommended for maximum reliability.
One of the faculty members who participated in the workshop, Dr. Susanta Pahari, a lecturer in the department of biochemistry, said the session was very engaging and interactive. He said the faculty will immensely benefit from the knowledge they have gained.
