Print/online Media Publications; SUN Students Prowess in latest Articles

Students of Skyline University Nigeria (SUN) have once again come to the fore, with their latest publication in print/online media by Dailytrust and News diary. Indeed, the students, Kamal Danladi, Maryam Mohammed Bawa, Hauwa Abba Abdullah and Nusaiba have therefore made tremendous progress in this endeavor because of the impetus given to students’ newspaper publication, courtesy of the substantive core values in Knowledge, skills and value-based education, aimed at bridging the gap between knowledge and skills.

This is an acknowledgment of students’ prowess in the areas of writing in both newspaper and journal publications in the University. It would be recalled that students from the Department of Information and Communication Technology, albeit for the first time, have in December 2020, published their first research journal in the Journal of Applied Sciences and Environmental Sustainability (JASES). This development set the stage for students’ contributions in publication focus.

Making contributions as an author in Print/online media is, of course, a major achievement for any writer. It is especially more exciting for undergraduate students of Mass Communications to reach such an accomplishment, merit of commendation in the professional portfolios. The students were pleased to have their publication on these platforms, with an ever-increasing readership of millions of readers not only within the country but globally.

Earlier, during a discussion with Mr. Aondover, Eric Msughter, a Lecturer at the Department of Mass Communication, who acknowledged the students’ prowess in the areas of writing, stated that most of the work will be added to the students’ portfolio of works, and their ability to solve challenges. He added that SUN has ensured an enabling environment that has enhanced the contribution of students to article publications.
