This was revealed on Thursday 19th of September 2019 when the Vice-Chancellor of Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Prof. Mustapha Ahmed Isah accompanied by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics, Associate Prof. Aliyu Musa, The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Admin, Associate Prof. Amina Saliu Bayero, The Bursar, Mal. Abdullahi Abbas amongst other members of the university management visited Skyline University where the plan for collaboration was unfolded.
Making his presentation at the event, the Vice-Chancellor of Skyline University Nigeria, Prof. Sudhakar Kota, said there were prospects and opportunities for collaboration on research, students’ developmental activities and career training, students and faculty exchange. He added that he wanted the collaboration to be competitive so that students and faculty alike can find it compelling.
Prof. Mustapha Ahmed Isah indicated that he was particularly interested in the completion of the MOU for the benefits of stakeholders of both institutions. He said, “Few weeks ago, we got licenced to run Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), the Nasarawa hospital will serve as our teaching hospital and I am sure that this is an opportunity for future collaboration – we may even be considered Twin University with whom they could engage in fundamental research of great interest”.
In his remark, the Head Librarian- SUN, Mr. Kabiru Danladi said that Skyline University Nigeria had earlier signed an MOU on the collaboration of library services with Yusuf Maitama University and based on statistics, it’s been very engaging for both institution’s libraries specifically important for the new era of academic collaborations.
Giving his closing remark, Mr. Abubakar Sadeq, the Director of Operations Skyline University Nigeria commended the management of Yusuf Maitama Sule University and remarked that since it was the Vice-Chancellor’s first visit to Skyline University Nigeria, it would be nice to show them around the university campus.
