Upon entering the recreational zone, students were struck by the facility’s remarkable beauty and unseasonably serene atmosphere. According to a students’ ambassador, Aisha Zannah, a 200 level student of Mass Communication, “It’s nice to see student excited about something other than academics, we are a diverse community and this recreation zone is a great way of improving our self-esteem”.
“In a university environment, social life is important, this looks nice and when you walk in, it’s just so attractive,” said Abba Abbator, a 200 level student of Accounting. He added that months of preparation has beaten the students’ expectation about the recreational zone.
Bilkisu Musbau, a student of Mass Communication, expressed her appreciation to the management of the University for unveiling the recreational zone. “I walked in and saw that the place is so polished and nice. I think the university’s management has done a good job.
Earlier, while making his speech at the grand opening, the university’s Pro-Chancellor, Mr. Nitin Anand, stated that the recreation zone aimed to facilitate the building of a healthy lifestyle for all students, by promoting increased physical and mental activities. He added that this was made possible because of the support received by some members of Kano State, Nigeria, who believed in the vision of Skyline University Nigeria.
The unveiling of the students’ recreational zone was filled with nonstop activities which resulted in plenty of laughs and excitement. Other attraction at the Recreational zone, was the relaxation spot, the soft background music emanating from high-quality acoustics, the Video games, snooker, table tennis, fussball, etc.
For the most part, the students’ recreation zone received overwhelmingly positive reviews by the students of the university, a zone that will remain a part of the university’s rich history.
