The President of Kano State Chamber of Commerce, Alh. Dalhatu Abubakar, who led other principal officers of the Chamber for the historic visit, assures the university, of continued support. “We appreciate your commitment to contributing to research and learning in Nigeria, we assure you of our full support and look forward to having an MOU with you” he stated.
The Vice-Chancellor of Skyline University Nigeria, Professor Sudhakar Kota while receiving the guest, stated that the university has initiated active MoUs with notable institutions around the world. “These initiations are prompted by the belief we have in the vision and mission that led to the establishment of SUN with the key objectives of encouraging, acknowledging and rewarding scholarship, teaching quality, professional competence, service and leadership”, he disclosed.
“Our pattern of learning is not in classroom experience only. We believe a student should have hands-on practical experience, be able to develop business and entrepreneurial skills, verbal and communication skills amongst others, that will help them stand out”. The Vice-Chancellor added.
In his closing address, Alh. Dalhatu expressed his gratitude to Skyline University Nigeria for opening its doors to collaboration and partnerships. “By having an MoU with you (SUN), I believe we are going to achieve so much together. This is a good beginning and we promise our full support and commitment”, he said.
Other principal officers of the Chamber present at the meeting were the Past President, Mr. Ahmed Rabiu, the First Deputy President, Ambassador Usman Darma, the Second Deputy President, Uba Tanko Mijinyawa, the Deputy Treasurer, Alh. Abubakar Al-Adam, the Vice President Commerce, Umar Ismail Haruna, the Vice President Corporate Affairs, Mr. Hassan Tahir Yaro and the Vice-President Industry, Hajia Usaina I Umar.
