The FBCAN Chairman, Mohammed Sani Garba, who led other members of the organization for the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the FBCAN and Skyline University Nigeria, stated that while Skyline University Nigeria is silently involved in community service, there is the need to officially partner to reach a much wider audience. “With this partnership, we will put hands together to put smiles on faces for the development of the society”, he added.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of Skyline University Nigeria, Professor Sudhakar Kota, expressed his excitement at the official signing of the MoU with FBCAN, stating that the university is open to meaningful collaboration, especially one that will drive her strategic visions. He added, “We also want to inculcate in our students, the spirit of community services because unless we train them, they may not understand its importance”.
The Head of Computer Science Department, Dr. Ahmed Abba Haruna, FHEA, who initiated the partnership in collaboration with the Corporate Affairs Department of the university, expresses joy and appreciations over the official signing of the MoU, said it was a big achievement for all the parties involved. “Indeed, there isn’t greater joy, nor greater reward than helping impacting the life of others positively”, he stated.
The meeting ended with a closing remark from the university’s Director of Academic Supports Services, Ms. Sarada Maganti, who remarked that, apart from the academics, a sense of belonging comes from community services. “We have silently been involved in community services, and supporting the less privilege in the society will be a blessing.
