Skyline University Nigeria (SUN) entered its 4th year of academic excellence in September 2021. A staff party was organized in celebration of this milestone and had both academic and academic support staff in attendance. The Management of SUN used the occasion to announce the approval of B.NSc Nursing and Doctor of Physiotherapy by the NUC as well as welcome the new staff who joined the University most recently, stating that it will bring about a new level of achievement for the university.
In his remarks at the occasion, which was held at the Bristol Palace, Kano on Friday 29th October 2021, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ajith Kumar V.V appreciated all the staff present, calling them an integral part of the university’s success. He pointed out that the staffs’ credibility and integrity are the reasons the University has developed so much momentum running Programmemes since 2018 when it was established.
Prof. Ajith emphasized the need for the staff to do much more to create relevant knowledge, urging them to achieve a greater result. For the students’ overall development, he advised the staff to take time to develop the students in areas they had challenges with a very creative and professional approach. “I thank you all for your support in bringing Skyline University Nigeria to greater heights”, he said.
Important members of the University Management also made contributions. Mr. Abubakar Sadiq, the University’s Representative to the Pro-Chancellor, Mr. Nitin Anand, advised participants at the occasion, particularly the new staff who joined recently that it is vital for staff of the university to meet and have a good time. He stated that since its inception, the University was always excited about giving back to the people who make up the workforce.He encouraged them to be good ambassadors of the University wherever they find themselves and hold forth to the core values of the institution.
Other speakers who made important statements were the University’s Registrar, Mr. Haruna Aliyu, the Director of Academic Support Service, Ms. Sarada Maganti, and the Head of Corporate Affairs, Engr. Bashir Garba, who all agree that Skyline University Nigeria is indeed a place that takes care of its own.
In all, the occasion featured lots of food and drinks, games, and other attractions.
